QA Automation Tester

Role: QA Automation Tester

Experience: 3-5 yrs Location: Chennai

Key Skills: QA Automation Testing, Cypress Automation, Salesforce Testing Roles And Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for Salesforce front-end applications.
• Validate UI behavior, workflows, integrations, and regression scenarios across Salesforce environments.
• Create reusable automation frameworks, test data strategies, and reporting mechanisms.
• Review business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases
• Execute manual and automated testing for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, administrators, and product owners to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, test planning, backlog grooming, and release validation
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test execution.
• Prepare test summary reports, quality metrics, and release-readiness assessments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and automation best practices.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress for front-end/UI automation.
• Experience testing Salesforce applications, portals, or Lightning-based interfaces.
• Strong understanding of software testing concepts including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Salesforce Lightning, Experience Cloud, or custom Salesforce UI implementations.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or similar.
• Experience integrating Cypress tests into CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of page object models, test data management, and automation framework design.
• Experience with Git-based source control and collaborative development workflows.
• Exposure to performance, accessibility, or cross-browser testing practices.
