    About FinacPlus

FinacPlus is a Great Place to Work® Certified organization — a recognition of our people first culture, collaborative environment, and focus on professional growth. We provide high-end virtual business process and technology services to leading global clients across finance, banking, mortgage, research, and data services. At FinacPlus, you'll work with world-class talent, cutting-edge technology, and international stakeholders — while still enjoying the openness, agility, and career visibility of a fast-growing company.

About Our Client — Toorak Capital Partners

You will be part of a dedicated engineering team supporting Toorak Capital Partners, a leading U.S.-based integrated correspondent lending platform that funds residential, multifamily, and mixed-use real estate loans across the U.S. and U.K. Headquartered in Summit, New Jersey, Toorak's leadership team brings deep expertise across real estate lending, capital markets, securitization, asset management, and credit. To date, Toorak-funded projects have renovated or stabilized housing for 9,000+ families — averaging 500+ families every month. This is a rare opportunity to build mission-critical, cloud-based mortgage technology platforms that directly support one of the most respected players in the global mortgage finance industry.

    Role Overview

We are hiring a hands-on Automation Engineer (3–5 years) to build and scale production-grade test automation frameworks for enterprise mortgage platforms.

This role is not execution-only QA—it requires engineering depth, framework ownership, and system-level thinking. You will design and drive automation architecture across UI, API, and service layers, ensuring reliability of high-volume, workflow-driven financial systems.

You will work closely with engineering teams to enable shift-left quality, continuous testing, and production stability in a cloud-native, microservices environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Working knowledge of Playwright CLI/MCP and a foundational understanding of how AI/LLM models work, to effectively use AI-assisted automation tooling.
    • Own and build scalable automation frameworks using Playwright + TypeScript/JavaScript for UI and API layers
    • Design modular, reusable, and maintainable automation architecture (POM, fixtures, service abstractions, utilities)
    • Automate complex, real-world workflows across mortgage lifecycle:
    • Customer onboarding
    • Document ingestion & validation
    • Underwriting decision flows
    • Loan lifecycle events
    • Drive automation-first engineering practices:
    • Define coding standards, framework design patterns
    • Ensure testability during feature design
    • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines:
    • Enable continuous testing and fast feedback loops
    • Ensure stable regression execution in pipelines
    • Build and maintain:
    • UI regression suites
    • API automation suites
    • Integration/E2E test coverage
    • Improve test reliability and execution performance:
    • Parallel execution
    • Flaky test reduction
    • Smart test selection strategies
    • Perform deep defect analysis:
    • Root cause identification
    • Validate fixes at system level
    • Collaborate with:
    • Backend engineers → API testability
    • Frontend teams → UI stability
    • Product teams → acceptance criteria clarity
    • Mentor junior engineers and drive shift-left quality culture

    Technical Skills

    Core (Must-Have Depth)

    • Strong programming in JavaScript / TypeScript
    • Deep hands-on experience with Playwright (mandatory)

    • Tools: Playwright API, Rest Assured, Postman, Supertest

    • Contract testing basics

    Cloud & Architecture

    • Experience testing microservices-based systems
    • Exposure to AWS or GCP environments
    • Understanding of:

    Security & Best Practices

    • Understanding of:
    • Secure API testing
    • Data validation and edge cases

    Experience Requirements (STRICT)

    • 3–5 years of hands-on automation experience
    • Must have:
    • Built automation frameworks from scratch or significantly enhanced existing ones
    • Worked on production systems (not just test projects or training work)
    • Experience across UI + API layers
    • Exposure to CI/CD-integrated automation

    What Makes a Strong Fit

We are looking for engineers who:

    • Have built, not just executed automation

This role is NOT suitable for candidates who:

    • Only execute test cases without framework ownership
    • Have tool exposure without coding depth
    • Lack real production system experience

    High Importance:

We are considering only Immediate Joiners or candidates who are currently serving their notice period with 15 days or less remaining

Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in both Playwright and JavaScript is mandatory.
