QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned QA Automation Engineer/Lead to drive our test automation strategy, build robust test frameworks, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. In this role, you will lead quality initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional development and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Framework Design and Architecture: Architect, build, and maintain scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks from scratch for web, API, and/or mobile applications.
• Test Strategy and Planning: Define comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and automation roadmaps aligned with product goals and sprint timelines.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e. g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab) for continuous testing and feedback.
• Execution and Maintenance: Oversee automated execution, analyze test failures, maintain existing test suites, and minimize flaky tests.
• API and Backend Testing: Design and execute automated functional, integration, and performance tests for RESTful microservices and databases.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Lead QA initiatives, conduct code reviews for test automation code, and mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers.
• Collaboration: Partner with product managers, software engineers, and DevOps to ensure quality is built into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from day one.

Requirements:

• Core Programming: Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e. g., Java, Python, C#, or TypeScript/JavaScript).
• Automation Tools: Hands-on expertise with modern automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• API Automation: Deep experience with tools like RestAssured, Postman, or requests for microservices and API testing.
• CI/CD and DevOps: Practical experience with tools like Jenkins, Docker, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Test Management and Tools: Proficiency in Jira, TestRail, Git, and BDD frameworks (e. g., Cucumber/Behave).
• Database Testing: Solid knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.
• Experience: 8-12 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 6+ years dedicated to automated testing and framework design.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead QA projects, drive quality standard processes, and guide team members.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills with a keen EYe for detail.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical issues clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with performance/load testing tools (e. g., JMeter, k6 and Locust).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with security testing principles or visual regression testing tools.
