Python Test engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Python.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and backend applications.
• Develop reusable automation components and utilities.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Analyze business requirements and convert them into test scenarios and test cases.
• Identify, log, track, and verify software defects.
• Automate API testing and backend validations.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Generate test reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps teams, business analysts, and QA teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement.

Additional Responsibilities

• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Hands-on experience with Python automation frameworks such as PyTest, Unittest, Robot Framework, Behave (BDD).
• Experience in Web Automation Testing using Selenium WebDriver; Playwright (Preferred).
• Experience in API Automation Testing using: Requests Library, PyTest, Postman, REST Assured concepts.
• Knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Defect Life Cycle.
• Experience with test design techniques and automation best practices.
• Strong understanding of: Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, End-to-End Testing.
• Experience with Git-based version control systems.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of SQL and database validation.

• MCA, MSc, MTech, Bachelor of Engineering, BCA, BSc, BTech
