About this role
- Design and develop RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django
- Apply Python concurrency techniques (asyncio, threading, multiprocessing) to optimize performance for I/O-bound and CPU-bound workloads
- Build asynchronous, non-blocking services to handle high-throughput requests
- Collaborate with front-end teams to ensure smooth REST API consumption in ReactJS applications
- Identify, assess, and remediate API security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP API Top 10 — broken auth, injection, excessive data exposure, rate limiting issues)
- Implement authentication/authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2, API keys)
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and testable code
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture decisions
- Monitor, debug, and optimize application performance in production
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes, if applicable)
