Python/Golang Automation Tester with AI-Chennai

Role Overview

We are looking for experienced QA Automation Engineers with strong backend REST API testing and automation skills. Candidates should have hands-on experience in Python or Go/Golang automation in storage, networking, virtualization, or cloud-based products. The candidates will be responsible for API testing, automation development, feature validation, regression testing, defect triaging, and ensuring product quality across diverse environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for backend REST APIs. Perform functional, integration, regression, and feature testing. Validate REST APIs, including request/response payloads, status codes, authentication, error handling, and negative scenarios. Automate test cases using Python, Go/Golang, or Perl. Execute testing across multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. Set up and validate test environments involving VMware/Hyper-V, Oracle, SQL databases, and physical machines. Perform defect analysis, failure triaging, root-cause investigation, and reporting. Work with development and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and improve test coverage. Participate in QA activities across feature testing, regression, automation, and release validation. Maintain test cases, automation code, and execution results using tools such as TestRail, Git, Jira, and Jenkins. Required Skills 4+ years of experience in QA/testing, with at least 3 years of hands-on automation experience. Strong experience in backend REST API testing and automation. Programming experience in at least one of the following: Go/Golang or Python. Knowledge of storage, networking, virtualization, or related infrastructure technologies. Hands-on exposure to testing in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. Good knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V and experience setting up or validating Oracle, SQL, and physical-machine environments. Strong Linux fundamentals. Understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, test execution, defect management, and regression testing. Experience with Git, Jira, Jenkins, and TestRail or equivalent tools. Strong analytical, logical reasoning, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and take ownership of testing activities. Mandatory AI-Assisted Engineering Skills Hands-on experience using AI-powered coding assistants such as Cursor AI or equivalent tools for test automation development, code generation, debugging, and refactoring. Strong prompt engineering skills to create effective prompts for generating automation scripts, API test cases, test data, and debugging complex failures. Ability to review, validate, debug, and optimize AI-generated code rather than relying on generated output without verification. Experience using AI tools to improve automation productivity, test coverage, code quality, and troubleshooting efficiency. Ability to use AI effectively within existing development workflows while following coding standards, security requirements, and confidentiality guidelines. Good to Have Experience in enterprise storage, backup, recovery, replication, or data protection products. Knowledge of Oracle RAC and SQL Server Always On Availability Groups (AAG). Experience with large-scale distributed systems and multi-node test environments. Experience with CI/CD-based test automation and debugging complex backend failures.
