About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Software Developer to build data-processing pipelines, internal APIs, and business-facing web applications that support reconciliation, portfolio management, and operational workflows. You will write, test, deploy, and support production code while collaborating with senior engineers who will help you deepen your technical craft.

You should already be comfortable building and deploying production software independently and be ready to take on increasing responsibility over time. AI-assisted development is part of the teams everyday workflow. You will initially contribute to database-migration and reconciliation initiatives, then expand into additional projects while developing the business and financial-domain knowledge that makes these tools valuable.

Job Execution: What You Will Deliver

• Write, test, deploy, and maintain production code using SQL, Python, and APIs, with support and review from senior engineers.
• Author and maintain versioned database migrations while learning the business purpose and controls behind the underlying data.
• Translate requirements from technology partners and business users into small, well-scoped, executable technical tasks.
• Write unit tests, participate constructively in code reviews, and incorporate feedback into reliable solutions.
• Investigate defects, implement fixes, and support applications and tools after production release.
• Use Git, merge or pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines to collaborate and deliver changes safely.
• Continuously deepen knowledge of the technology stack, data model, engineering standards, and business domain.

Initial Focus and Growth Path

The team works across database and data-processing pipelines, internal APIs used by other technology teams, business-facing web applications, and reporting automation. The role will likely begin with database-migration and reconciliation work and expand into broader engineering responsibilities as capability and domain knowledge grow.

Required Qualifications

• At least two years of professional experience building, delivering, and operating software in production.
• Demonstrated ability to write, test, and ship production code independently.
• Solid SQL proficiency, including queries that retrieve, filter, join, and validate data across tables.
• Solid proficiency in Python.
• Strong programming fundamentals, including data structures, control flow, functions, and effective debugging.
• Comfort with Git and everyday version-control workflows.
• Genuine curiosity about the business and domain behind the code, with a strong drive to learn.
• Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development as a core part of a modern engineering workflow, using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar assistants as force multipliers.
• A growth mindset, with the motivation to seek harder problems and take greater ownership over time.
• Strong attention to detail, openness to feedback, and clear communication.
• A collaborative, team-first attitude.
• BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
