Role & responsibilities

Job Title: Python Automation Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Python.
• Create and execute automated test scripts for web, API, and backend applications.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for resolution.
• Participate in requirement analysis, test planning, estimation, and test execution.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure quality standards and best practices are followed throughout the SDLC.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Python Programming.
• Experience in Selenium WebDriver with Python.
• Strong experience in API Testing and Automation.
• Hands-on experience with PyTest / Robot Framework.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, Postman, and API validation.
• Good understanding of SQL and database testing.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Good to Have:

• Experience in Playwright with Python.
• Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• BDD Frameworks (Cucumber/Behave).
• Basic understanding of GenAI/Copilot concepts.
• Banking/Financial Services domain experience.

Required Candidate Profile:

• 5-10 years of relevant automation testing experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
