Role & responsibilities

Role Manager, Purchasing & Sourcing

• Manage end-to-end purchasing and sourcing activities for fabrics, trims, accessories, and other garment materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers within the textile/garment industry.
• Negotiate pricing, quality standards, payment terms, MOQ, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure timely availability of materials according to production plans and requirements.
• Drive cost optimization while maintaining required quality standards.
• Monitor vendor performance regarding quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
• Coordinate with Production, Merchandising, Quality, Stores, Finance, and Planning teams.
• Develop alternative sourcing options to minimize supply-chain risks and material shortages.
• Monitor purchase orders, inventory requirements, and supplier deliveries.
• Maintain procurement reports, vendor records, and MIS/ERP documentation.
• Stay updated on market trends, material pricing, and new sourcing opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers.

Preferred Experience: Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Purchasing/Sourcing within the Textile, Garment, Apparel, or Lingerie industry.

Experience: Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Purchasing/Sourcing, preferably within the Textile, Garment, Apparel, Innerwear, or Lingerie industry.

The candidate should have strong expertise in fabric and garment material sourcing, vendor development, supplier negotiation, cost optimization, procurement planning, and supply-chain coordination.
