About this role
- Procure road construction materials such as Bitumen, Cement, Aggregates, WMM, GSB, Steel, Pipes, Geotextiles, etc.
- Identify and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for competitive rates and quality.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and process purchase orders.
- Coordinate with Project/Site, Stores, Accounts, and Management for material requirements and timely delivery.
- Monitor material quality, quantity, rates, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Develop and maintain a reliable vendor/supplier database.
- Maintain purchase records, POs, quotations, invoices, and other procurement documentation.
- Ensure procurement is carried out as per company policies, approved budgets, and project requirements.
