Job Summary

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for procurement of steel, alloy, and other mills Items, raw materials required for manufacturing operations. The role involves vendor management, price negotiation, material planning, and ensuring timely availability of quality raw materials at optimum cost.

Key Skills

• Knowledge of steel grades, alloys, and raw material specifications.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Purchase management systems.
• Good analytical and cost comparison ability.
• Effective communication and coordination skills with internal departments and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Procure steel, alloy, and other raw materials as per production and project requirements.
• Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and finalize vendors through price negotiation.
• Issue Purchase Orders and ensure timely delivery of materials from suppliers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with approved vendors and identify new suppliers.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Accounts teams for material planning and invoice verification.
• Monitor market rates of steel & alloy materials to ensure cost-effective purchasing and uninterrupted supply.
• 510 years’ experience in Steel / Metal / Manufacturing Industry procurementRole & responsibilities
