Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of MS plates, HR coils, structural steel, pipes, tubes, purlins, bracing, fasteners, welding consumables, paints, and other fabrication materials.
• Handle project-wise and site-wise purchasing for civil construction, erection, installation, and other on-site requirements.
• Coordinate with design, production, project managers, site engineers, and stores to ensure timely material availability.
• Identify vendors, negotiate prices, and secure competitive rates, quality materials, and favourable credit terms.
• Prepare purchase orders, compare quotations, track deliveries, and maintain procurement records.
• Monitor material consumption, inventory, wastage, and purchase costs against project budgets.
• Develop reliable supplier relationships and ensure uninterrupted workshop production and site execution.

Candidate Requirements

• 3 - 7 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in PEB, steel fabrication, or industrial construction.
• Knowledge of steel materials, fabrication consumables, construction materials, and site procurement.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, cost-control, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and purchase documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, urgent site requirements, and delivery schedules.
