Purchase Manager

Role & responsibilities :-

1:- Strategy & Policy: Design and execute long-term procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with company growth, production schedules, or project budgets. Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), approval matrices, and internal controls.

2. Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, onboard, and audit suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers. Build strategic rate contracts, manage backup sources, and monitor vendor performance on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.

3 Tendering & Negotiation: Oversee the complete tender and bidding cycleincluding BOQ (Bill of Quantities) reviews, RFQs (Requests for Quotations), comparative analysis, and high-stakes commercial negotiations. Finalize purchase orders and master service agreements

4 Cost Control & Value Engineering: Analyze commodity and market price trends (e.g., steel, raw materials, components) to hedge against volatility, drive cost-reduction initiatives, and monitor departmental spend against budgets

5 Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with production, stores, quality assurance, project management, and finance teams to prevent stockouts, resolve quality rejections, and streamline billing/payments

6 Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and supervise procurement executives, buyers, and store/logistics staff
