About the Role
Asclepius Wellness Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced procurement professional to manage end-to-
end sourcing and purchasing of Ayurvedic herbs, spices, raw materials, food-grade chemicals, solvents,
additives, and packing materials for our manufacturing plant in Jaipur. You will build a dependable,
certified supplier base, buy safely and at the right price, and make sure every material is documented
and compliant before it reaches production.

Key Responsibilities
Supplier Identification & Development

* Identify and onboard certified manufacturers and distributors of food-grade chemicals

* Source reliable suppliers for Ayurvedic herbs, spices, and packing materials

* Assess vendors on quality, price, reliability, and compliance

* Build long-term supplier relationships and maintain the vendor database and approved supplier

list

* Evaluate vendor performance on quality, delivery, pricing, and service

Safe & Cost-Effective Procurement

* Procure raw chemicals, solvents, and additives safely, at competitive prices

* Negotiate prices, payment terms, credit periods, and delivery schedules

* Compare quotations and evaluate total procurement cost, not just unit price

* Track market trends and develop alternative sources to reduce supply risk

* Support procurement budgeting and CAPEX purchasing where required

Purchase Planning & Operations

* Prepare purchase plans based on production schedules, inventory levels, and material

requirements

* Raise purchase orders, track deliveries, and follow up with vendors

* Maintain optimum inventory levels with production and stores teams

* Keep accurate procurement records

Regulatory Compliance & Rules

* Check safety sheets, quality standards, and import-export laws applicable to materials you buy

* Review import-export documentation and regulatory requirements for internationally sourced

materials

* Coordinate with QA, QC, and R&D on supplier and material approvals

Documentation Review

* Review and verify Certificates of Analysis (CoA), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and allergen

statements for every material

* Verify supplier certifications and ensure materials match approved specifications

Safety Standards Verification

* Ensure all chemicals and ingredients comply with food safety regulations such as FSSAI, FDA

(where relevant), and other local standards

* Flag and escalate non-compliant or doubtful materials before purchase or receipt

Required Qualifications & Experience
Graduate or Postgraduate in any stream.
Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Agriculture, Food Technology, Supply Chain Management,Business Administration, or a related field
4-10 years of raw material procurement experience in a manufacturing unit
Mandatory: hands-on experience purchasing Ayurvedic herbs, herbal raw materials, and spices
Experience in vendor development, material sourcing, purchase planning, and price negotiation
Working knowledge of CoA, SDS, allergen statements, supplier certifications, and food safety
regulations

Preferred
Experience procuring food-grade chemicals, solvents, additives, and packing materials
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP-based purchasing systems
