Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to handle procurement and vendor development for ACFT (Airport Crash Fire Tender) and specialised firefighting vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of ACFT chassis, automotive aggregates and specialised vehicle components.
• Develop vendors for commercial vehicle chassis, engines, transmissions, axles, suspension systems and other automotive parts.
• Coordinate with OEMs and authorised dealers, including Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, BharatBenz and Eicher.
• Manage procurement of firefighting vehicle components, pumps, water tanks, foam systems, piping and valves.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial agreements.
• Ensure chassis specifications meet requirements for GVW, wheelbase, axle configuration and payload.
• Drive cost optimisation, supplier performance, quality and timely material delivery.

Required Experience & Skills

• 6–10 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement or Vendor Development.
• Hands-on experience in 4-wheeler commercial vehicle chassis procurement is highly preferred.
• Experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, special-purpose vehicles (SPV), fire trucks or heavy vehicle manufacturing.
• Strong vendor development, negotiation and cost-control skills.
