Job Summary:

We are looking for a Purchase Executive with experience in procurement for civil construction projects. The candidate should have knowledge of purchasing construction materials such as cement, ready-mix concrete (RMC), steel, and other building materials while ensuring quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procure cement, ready-mix concrete (RMC), steel, and other construction materials as per project requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for competitive prices and favourable payment terms.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, and prepare purchase orders.
• Coordinate with project, site, and stores teams to understand material requirements and delivery schedules.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to construction sites without project delays.
• Monitor material quality, specifications, quantity, and supplier performance.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor details, invoices, delivery challans, and other procurement documents.
• Track market prices of cement, steel, RMC, and other construction materials.
• Follow up on pending orders, payments, and material shortages.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and budget requirements.

Required Skills:

• Good knowledge of construction materials, especially cement, RMC, and steel.
• Strong vendor management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of purchase orders, quotation comparison, and procurement documentation.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and purchase/inventory software.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple construction sites and suppliers.
• Strong follow-up, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Commerce, or a related field.
