Purchase Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Raise purchase requisitions, float RFQs and prepare purchase orders (POs) for raw materials, consumables, spares and packaging materials.
• Compare quotations, finalise vendors on price, quality and delivery terms, and maintain the approved vendor list.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and coordinate with the stores and logistics teams.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance and stores to understand material requirements and keep stock levels optimal.
• Verify invoices, GRNs and POs, and coordinate with the accounts team for timely payments.
• Maintain purchase records, rate comparisons and vendor performance data.
• Develop new vendors and resolve quality or delivery issues with existing ones.

Preferred candidate profile

2 to 4 years in purchase or procurement, preferably in the manufacturing, metal or aluminium industry.

Knowledge of material specifications and quality standards.
