About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day purchase and procurement activities as per company requirements.
- Source raw materials, aluminium profiles, hardware, accessories, consumables and other production-related materials .
- Identify and develop new vendors and maintain good relationships with existing suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate price, quality, payment terms and delivery schedules .
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain proper purchase documentation.
- Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and ensure material availability as per production requirements.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Planning and Accounts for material requirements and pending issues.
- Monitor open POs, delivery schedules, shortages, rejections and replacement materials.
- Evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, delivery and service performance .
- Maintain vendor database, purchase records, quotations, POs, invoices and other procurement documents.
- Support cost-saving initiatives through effective negotiation and alternate vendor development.
- Prepare purchase-related MIS and reports using MS Excel/ERP.
- Resolve discrepancies related to material, pricing, invoices and deliver
