Purchase Executive - Water Treatment / Hi-Purity Utilities

About the role

Aquamech Engineering Corporation is looking for a Purchase Executive / Procurement Engineer for its Navi Mumbai office. We execute water treatment (WTP), wastewater treatment (ETP/STP) and high-purity water utility projects (PW, WFI, HPW, RO-EDI) for pharmaceutical and industrial clients. Procurement experience in either the water/wastewater side or the pharma utility / high-purity side is sufficient; you do not need experience in both.

Role & responsibilities

• Procure project materials against approved BOQs and project schedules. Typical items include pumps, valves, blowers, filters and filter media, RO membranes and pressure vessels, dosing systems, instruments, MCC/PLC panels, SS 304/316L sanitary tubing and fittings, UPVC/PP piping and fabrication items.
• Float RFQs, collect and compare quotations, and prepare techno-commercial comparison statements for approval.
• Negotiate price, delivery, payment terms and warranties with suppliers; raise and release purchase orders.
• Develop and evaluate vendors for water treatment, wastewater and hi-purity equipment and bought-out items; maintain the approved vendor list.
• Coordinate with the design, proposals and site teams to confirm technical specifications, datasheets and drawing approvals before ordering.
• Expedite orders, track deliveries against project timelines and coordinate inspection, dispatch and logistics to site.
• Collect and maintain supplier documentation such as test certificates, material test certificates (MTC), calibration certificates, warranty and GA drawings.
• Track procurement budgets, cost savings and pending items; share regular status reports with project managers.
