Job Title: Purchase Executive - HVAC
Dept: Purchase / Procurement
Qualifications: Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering or Graduate with relevant experience
Experience: 2 to 6 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the HVAC / MEP / Construction industry
Work Timings: 9:30 AM to 6 PM
Week Offs: All Sundays & 3rd Saturday
Location: Bangalore
Salary Range: Upto 6 LPA
Job Purpose:
To handle the procurement of HVAC materials, components, and services in a timely and cost-effective manner while ensuring quality, vendor reliability, and adherence to company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate vendors / suppliers for HVAC equipment, ducting materials, electrical items, and related consumables.
- Obtain competitive quotations, prepare comparison sheets, and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Issue purchase orders (POs) and follow up with vendors for timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with the Design, Planning, and Project Execution teams to understand material requirements and delivery timelines.
- Maintain and update the approved vendor list and procurement records.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Ensure materials meet the required technical specifications and quality standards.
- Track and resolve issues related to delivery delays, material discrepancies, or rejections.
- Support accounts in verifying supplier bills and payment follow-ups.
- Assist in developing procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and components.
- Good understanding of materials such as ducts, insulation, chillers, AHUs, FCUs, compressors, etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software (Tally, SAP, or similar).
Soft Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good coordination and follow-up abilities.
- Attention to detail and time management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- On-time material delivery rate.
- Cost savings achieved through negotiation.
- Supplier performance and reliability.
