Role & responsibilities

• Handling day-to-day purchase activities and procurement requirements.
• Preparing and releasing Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
• Coordinating with vendors for quotations, pricing, availability and delivery timelines.
• Negotiating with vendors to achieve competitive pricing and favorable commercial terms.
• Following up with vendors for order status, production and timely dispatch.
• Coordinating with internal departments for purchase requirements and material planning.
• Maintaining vendor records, quotations, POs and other purchase-related documentation.
• Tracking pending orders and ensuring timely closure of open POs.
• Coordinating with vendors and Accounts for invoice/payment-related queries.
• Supporting vendor development and identifying new vendors wherever required.
• Monitoring purchase costs and highlighting major cost variations.
• Ensuring timely availability of materials as per business requirements.
• Preparing regular purchase-related reports and MIS.
• Handling any other procurement-related activities assigned from time to time.

Preferred candidate profile

• Prior experience in the Education industry will be an added advantage.
• Relevant experience in purchase/procurement and vendor management.
