Purchase Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, consumables, and engineering items as per purchase requirements.
• Obtain quotations from vendors and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order processing.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Quality departments for material requirements.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
• Maintain vendor records, purchase history, and documentation.
• Verify invoices, delivery challans, and purchase-related documents.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases to avoid stock shortages.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly purchase reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and procurement procedures.
• Maintain complete documentation of all purchase records to comply with ISO 9001, AS 9100 Quality Audit.
• Required good knowledge about Import Export Material

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and Horizon, Zoho, Odoo software
