Purchase Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Sourcing and Procurement:

- Source suppliers and vendors for goods, services, and materials.

- Evaluate and qualify new suppliers.

- Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers.

- Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts.

2. Technical Evaluation:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs.

- Evaluate technical specifications and requirements.

- Conduct site visits and audits as necessary.

3. Quality Assurance:

- Ensure purchased items meet quality standards.

- Collaborate with quality control teams.

- Implement and monitor quality control processes.

4. Cost Management:

- Analyze market trends and pricing.

- Implement cost-saving initiatives.

- Conduct spend analysis and benchmarking.

5. Supply Chain Management:

- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.

- Monitor supply chain disruptions.

- Implement risk mitigation strategies.

6. Documentation and Compliance:

- Maintain accurate records and documentation.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Adhere to regulatory requirements.

7. Communication and Collaboration:

- Communicate with clients across departments.

- Collaborate with engineering teams.

- Provide procurement status updates.

Preferred candidate profile

- Electrical , Automation technical knowledge.

- Negotiation and communication skills

- Familiarity with procurement software and systems.

-Experience with ERP systems
