Purchase Engineer

We are looking for a Purchase Engineer to manage procurement of electrical components for panel manufacturing, ensuring timely availability of materials, cost efficiency, and compliance with technical specifications while coordinating effectively with vendors and internal teams.

Role & responsibilities

• Review BOM as per production schedule
• Float RFQs, collect quotations, and prepare comparative statements
• Negotiate price, delivery timelines, and payment terms with vendors
• Issue Purchase Orders (PO) with accurate technical specifications
• Procure electrical components such as ACB, MCCB, MCB, contactors, relays, VFDs, copper, busbars, enclosures, and wiring materials
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and avoid production delays
• Coordinate with design, production, and stores teams for smooth material flow
• Maintain proper documentation for POs, invoices, and audits
• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge of electrical panel components and materials
• Good negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Analytical thinking with cost-control mindset
