Purchase Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement of mechanical BO items such as gearboxes, bearings, couplings, motors, etc.
• Purchase of engineering raw materials like steel plates, alloy steel, forgings, castings, and round bars.
• Supplier sourcing, development, RFQs, quotation evaluation, negotiations, and PO finalization.
• Coordinate with internal teams for timely material availability and supplier follow-ups.
• Handle basic import procurement activities.
• Maintain procurement records and transactions in SAP.
• Drive cost reduction, alternate sourcing, and supplier improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:

• 4-6 years of mechanical procurement experience in a manufacturing company.
• Good knowledge of mechanical components and engineering raw materials.
• Experience in vendor development, sourcing, negotiation, and procurement processes.
• Basic knowledge of import procurement and SAP MM.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
