Purchase Engineer

ob Summary:

Responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for project-related materials and services, ensuring timely availability, cost optimization, vendor coordination, and compliance with project requirements to support smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review purchase requisitions/material indents and validate requirements with project teams

• Source and evaluate vendors, obtain quotations, and ensure competitive pricing

• Prepare comparative statements and conduct commercial negotiations

• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor order fulfillment timelines

• Coordinate with vendors, stores, and project teams for material delivery and acceptance

• Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase documentation

• Process invoice verification and coordinate with Accounts for timely payments

• Monitor procurement budgets, cost savings, and vendor performance metrics

• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures

• Support inventory planning and material availability to avoid project delays

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management

• Vendor sourcing, evaluation, and relationship management skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Procurement software

• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple vendors and procurement schedules effectively

Preferred Profile:

• 3–6 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain functions

• Experience in project-based industries such as MEP, Construction, Engineering, or Infrastructure
