Position Title: Senior Executive / Assistant Manager Procurement & Sourcing

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience Required: 2 to 6 Years

Domain Expertise: Prior experience in procuring pipes, fittings, flanges, electrical, and instrumentation items preferred.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for end-to-end procurement activities, including strategic vendor negotiation, cost estimation, PO management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure timely material delivery within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Sourcing & RFQ Management: Float enquiries/RFQs to vendors, review technical specifications, and manage complete enquiry-to-quotation lifecycles.
• Cost Estimation & Analysis: Perform internal cost estimations, build commercial bid comparisons, and interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
• Negotiation & Cost Savings: Lead commercial negotiations with vendors to drive strategic cost reduction projects and maximize savings.
• Order Processing & Systems: Convert Purchase Requisitions (PR) to Purchase Orders (PO) in line with A, B, and C material classifications using Oracle ERP.
• Expediting & Inventory Control: Expedite material deliveries, monitor supplier schedules, manage inventory levels, and clear pending Goods Receipt Reports (GRR) with the stores team.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate daily with Project, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Finance, and Warehouse teams to resolve bottlenecks.
• Reporting & MIS: Track procurement performance metrics and analyze regular MIS reports for management review.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Technical Aptitude: Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, technical datasheets, and material specifications.
• ERP Proficiency: Hands-on experience operating Oracle ERP for PR/PO creation, tracking, and GRR reconciliation.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and inventory management skills.
• Soft Skills: Excellent written/verbal communication, time management, and inter-departmental coordination capabilities.
