Purchase Assistant

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Material Management, preferably in the construction/infrastructure industry.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of MS Excel, including, formulas, data analysis, and maintaining purchase records.

Construction Materials: Good knowledge of civil/construction materials such as, plumbing materials, electrical items, hardware, and other site requirements.

Vendor Management: Ability to identify and coordinate with suppliers/vendors, obtain competitive quotations, negotiate prices, and maintain good vendor relationships.

Cost Control: Ability to compare quotations, negotiate rates, monitor purchase costs, and support cost-effective procurement.

Coordination: Coordinate effectively with site engineers, project teams, stores, accounts, and vendors to ensure timely availability of materials.

Material Follow-up: Track orders, delivery schedules, pending materials, and ensure materials reach the site as per project requirements.

Additional Advantage: Knowledge of ERP in procurement software will be an added advantage.

Procurement Knowledge: Understanding of the complete purchase cycle, including material requirements, vendor identification, quotation collection, comparison, negotiation, purchase orders, and material follow-up.
