Public Health Expert || Government Advisory || Gurgaon

About: We are looking for a high-performing Assistant Manager / Senior Consultant with 56 years of experience to join our Healthcare Government Advisory practice. This role is ideal for a public health professional with deep domain knowledge who can design health system programs, translate complex ideas into clear documentation, guide execution teams, and engage effectively with senior government officials, philanthropic foundations, and multilateral institutions.

Role & responsibilities

Strategy, Advisory & Documentation

• Program Design: Support the design and implementation of national and sub-national health system strengthening programs.
• Assessments & Evaluations: Conduct health system assessments, institutional reviews, policy analyses, and program evaluations.
• Technical Writing: Draft high-impact documentation, including technical reports, policy briefs, operational roadmaps, concept notes, and client-ready executive presentations.
• Advisory Areas: Contribute to advisory assignments across core practice areas:
• Digital Health Transformation & Performance Dashboards
• Universal Health Coverage (UHC) & Primary Health Care (PHC)
• Health Financing & Economics
• Climate & Health
• WASH in Health

Team Leadership & Execution

• Guide and mentor associates and senior associates by providing technical direction and reviewing deliverables to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Manage end-to-end execution of consulting assignments, ensuring timely delivery and clear team alignment.
• Articulate complex health data, frameworks, and strategic insights clearly to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management & Facilitation

• Engage with senior officials across Government bodies, Philanthropic Foundations, and Multilateral agencies.
• Lead consultations, focus group discussions (FGDs), key informant interviews (KIIs), and stakeholder workshops.

Business Development

• Lead and support proposal development (RFPs, EOIs, grant proposals)
• Develop technical approaches, results frameworks, and financial notes for project bidding.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience: 5 to 6 years of experience in healthcare consulting, public health, health economics, or government advisory.

• Domain Knowledge (Must-Have): Deep domain expertise in public health, health systems strengthening, digital health (e.g., dashboards, tracking systems), or MEAL frameworks.
• Sector Exposure (Must-Have): Demonstrated track record of working on projects with or for central/state government, multilateral agencies, philanthropic bodies and academic institutions.
• Background Preference: Background in Economics, Public Health (MPH), Health Policy, or related disciplines with hands-on experience in digital health tools/dashboarding.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: Masters degree in Public Health (MPH), Health Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, Economics, or Healthcare Management.
• AI Tool Adoption: Proficiency with AI-enabled productivity and research tools for research synthesis and drafting.
