Proposal Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Proposal Preparation: Prepare technical and commercial proposals for BIW automation and robotic projects.
• Costing and BOM: Study RFQs, layouts, and specifications; prepare BOMs, material specifications, and cost estimates.
• Vendor Coordination: Prepare RFQs, obtain supplier quotations, and create technical/commercial comparison sheets.
• Project Support: Estimate engineering, installation, commissioning, and manpower requirements. Support management in finalizing quotations.
• Technical Review: Review electrical layouts, robot layouts, control panel requirements, cable requirements, safety systems, and field devices.
• Customer Interaction: Support clarification meetings with customers and suppliers. Maintain proposal documents, costing sheets, and revision history.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3-4 years.
• Qualification: BE/B. Tech/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
• Knowledge of BIW automation and robotic welding.
• Basic understanding of PLC, HMI, robots, and safety systems.
• Familiarity with electrical components, cables, trays, and field devices.
• Strong analytical and costing skills.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and layouts.
• Good communication, coordination, and vendor negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD/EPLAN is an advantage.
• Experience with ABB/Siemens/Allen-Bradley automation preferred.

Preferred Experience:

• 3-4 years in BIW, automotive automation, robotics, and system integration.
• Exposure to controls projects and electrical engineering.
