Proposal Engineer

Job Summary

A Chemical / Mechanical engineering graduate or Chemical/Mechanical / environmental engineer Masters degree holder with minimum 7- 9 years of experience in water waste water treatment industry for different markets like Industrial, Micro E, FB, Municipal. The role requires the person to be able to have deep knowledge of water chemistry and experience of designing, costing, proposal development, vendor rfq preparation, TBE, PID , Layout review of various water and waste water treatment processes

Essential Responsibilities / Expectations

1. Perform as the Proposal engineer to plan and formulate proposal Engineering Deliverables in water Industry Processes and Products. Knowledge on membrane bio reactor, pretreatment technology will be of added advantage.

2. Able to understand water chemistry , identify red flags, to be able to select unit operations and design conventional as well advanced pretreatment like ultrafiltration, Design RO system for various water and waste water applications, design biological system , understanding of thermal evaporator system .

3 To be able to review Tender electromechanical specifications, Engineering design standards, Proposal Playbook, safety and customer contract requirements and come up with the right process and product selection.

4. Able to develop Process Description, Process Calculations, PFD, HFD, PID, Layouts, load list, Instrument list, civil inputs drawings for complex projects.

5. Sound working knowledge on Design tools like UF/RO/Ion Exchange Projections and other tools.

6. Able to develop Capex, Opex, OM, ROI calculations to optimize the Process and cost

7. Able to participate global design reviews / participate and lead Hazop /SIL. Reviews. Able to interface with customer s technical representatives and/or the Veolia in country local Lead Project Engineer or Proposal Manager reviews

8. Knowledge on Design tools, International codes and standards - ASME, DIN, EN, IS, BS, AS etc.,

8. Knowledge on Materials / Metallurgy on metallic and nonmetallic Pumps, valves, Equipment s, pipes and fittings

9. Knowledge on Electrical, Instrumentation and control systems applicable for water and waste water Schemes and Products.

10. Working knowledge on ACAD / Office tools

11. Assist local / global Proposal Engineers / Sales team for the Bid Engineering deliverables.

12. Able to prepare the Vendor RFQ like pump, blower etc. review the quotes and prepare TBE

13. Knowledge on markets like Industrial, Municipal, FB, Micro E Mining will be an added advantage Qualifications

Educational Qualification

Bachelor s in Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental Engineering or other technical discipline

Experience Required (Min - Max year)

Minimum of 7- 11 years of Proposal / Tender Engineering experience,
