About this role
Job key deliverables:
Responsible for developing packaging automation solutions based on customer requirements, production targets, product characteristics, and available space.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyse customer requirements and develop suitable automation concepts for robotic/conventional de/palletising, case packing, conveyors, and related systems.
2. Prepare technical proposals, equipment specifications, layouts, scope of supply, and costing inputs.
3. Perform engineering calculations related to cycle time, throughput, conveyor speed, pallet flow, robot payload, reach, and machine capacity.
4. Develop and review layouts, ensuring proper equipment integration, accessibility, safety, and maintenance requirements.
5. Select suitable robots, grippers, conveyors, and other automation components based on application requirements.
6. Coordinate with Sales, Design, Electrical/Controls, Procurement, suppliers, and Project teams for technical development.
7. Evaluate alternative solutions for technical feasibility, performance, footprint, flexibility, and cost optimization.
8. Support projects during engineering, installation, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting when required.
9. Support costing and prepare technical inputs for commercial quotations.
Relevant Experience:
2-4 years of experience in solution design, application engineering, industrial automation, packaging machinery, or material handling systems.
