Project & Service Portfolio Expert – Healthcare Digital & IT R&D (f/m/d)

Your Role

Drive clarity, quality, and financial discipline across a complex portfolio of digital, data, and AI-driven initiatives in a global R&D environment. As a key member of the Project and Portfolio Management team, you will own the end-to-end coordination of project and service portfolios, translating plans, financial data, and service commitments into reliable insights that enable confident decision-making.

You will take full ownership of portfolio reporting, financial planning and reconciliation, and service lifecycle management, working independently across a broad network of project leaders, business partners, Controlling, Procurement, and service owners. You will maintain and continuously improve the quality of portfolio records, dashboards, and governance processes, and play an active role in driving process improvements, including the responsible adoption of AI enabled ways of working. Your structured approach, attention to detail, and persistence in following through on open items will be central to the team's success.

Who You Are

• You hold a master's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, and bring at least five years of experience in IT portfolio management, PMO, or project financial management.
• You have strong skills in financial planning and reconciliation, including CAPEX and OPEX management, actuals, forecasts, accruals, and end to end purchasing and procurement processes.
• You are proficient in Excel, Smartsheet, enterprise resource planning systems, and project portfolio management tools such as Jira; familiarity with Ariba is a plus.
• You have a structured, detail oriented approach to maintaining records, lists, and reporting data, and take pride in the accuracy and completeness of your work.
• You are confident working with dashboards and reporting data, identifying inconsistencies, and translating business needs into clear requirements for solution teams.
• You communicate clearly and influence effectively across diverse stakeholders, including project leaders, business partners, Controlling, Procurement, and service owners.
• You apply AI tools effectively in your day to day work and have practical experience managing AI consumption and associated costs across applications and services.
• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or R&D environments, and an awareness of GxP requirements, is desirable.
