The company has manufacturing facilities in Kerala, Chennai and Dubai and an expanding Projects and Dealer network.

Role Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Project Business Development professional to lead and develop STAR Pipes & Fittings project business in the Chennai region.

The role will be responsible for identifying project opportunities, developing relationships with key decision-makers, getting STAR products specified and approved, generating project enquiries and ensuring successful conversion of projects into business.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and grow the project business for STAR Pipes & Fittings across Chennai and surrounding markets.

Identify and build relationships with builders, developers, MEP consultants, architects, plumbing consultants, contractors, project management companies and institutional customers.

Generate new project leads through regular market visits, networking and industry contacts.

Track upcoming residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects from enquiry to completion.

Work towards product specification, brand approval and vendor registration with key projects and consultants.

Conduct product presentations and technical discussions with consultants, architects, contractors and project teams.

Promote STARs PVC, CPVC, uPVC, and related piping solutions based on project requirements.

Ideal Candidate

Graduate / Post Graduate in Business, Engineering, Civil, Mechanical or a related discipline.

812 years of experience in project sales / project business development, preferably in pipes, plumbing products, sanitaryware, building materials or construction-related products.

Strong existing network among builders, developers, consultants, MEP/plumbing consultants and contractors in Chennai will be an advantage.

Good understanding of plumbing and piping products and their applications.

Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.

Should be capable of independently developing the Chennai project market.

Target-oriented, commercially aware and comfortable with extensive field visits.

Ability to identify opportunities early and convert project leads into business.
