About this role
Role Purpose :
We are looking for a Renewable Energy Engineer with hands-on experience in solar energy
projects for agriculture and rural development. The role involves planning, implementation,
monitoring, and technical support for solar-powered solutions such as irrigation pumps, drinking
water systems, and solar streetlights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and technical feasibility assessments.
- Plan and support implementation of solar energy projects.
- Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, cost estimates, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and installation teams.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of solar systems.
- Monitor system performance and resolve operational issues.
- Train farmers and community stakeholders on system operation and maintenance.
- Maintain project records, reports, photographs, and installation documentation.
- Support project monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
Must-Have Skills
- Experience in solar PV systems, solar pumps, and decentralized renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, water management, and pump sizing.
- Experience in installation supervision, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and project reports.
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience
- Solar irrigation pump projects.
- Solar-powered drinking water systems.
- Solar streetlight projects.
- NGO, CSR, watershed, agriculture, or rural livelihood projects.
- Experience working with farmers, Gram Panchayats, and government departments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Candidate should have 2-3 years of field experience in renewable energy projects, preferably solar irrigation or rural energy solutions, with strong technical and stakeholder management skills
and willingness to travel extensively in rural areas.
