Project Manager

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a Project Manager (PM) for high-rise construction using aluminum formwork (such as Mivan technology) is responsible for orchestrating a fast-paced, repetitive construction cycle to ensure the project meets tight deadlines, safety standards, and quality requirements.

The primary roles and responsibilities are categorized below:

1. Strategic Planning & Lifecycle Management:

• Cycle Time Optimization: Establish, monitor, and enforce the typical 4 to 7-day structural cycle per floor enabled by aluminum formwork.

• Sequential Planning: Determining the most efficient sequence of activities, including the simultaneous casting of walls and slabs to streamline the process.

• Resource Allocation: Identifying and allocating necessary manpower (often semi-skilled for this technology), materials, and equipment from start to finish.

2. Technical & Quality Supervision:

• Formwork Design Integration: Working with architects and engineers early in the design phase to ensure building layouts are compatible with modular aluminum panels.

• Precision Control: Monitoring the installation of formwork to ensure dimensional accuracy, which is critical for high-rise alignment and reducing the need for plastering.

• Pour Monitoring: Overseeing the concrete pouring process to prevent overloading panels and ensure proper curing for high-quality finishes.

3. Operational Logistics & Maintenance:

• Inventory Management: Managing the procurement, on-site storage, and inventory of hundreds of precision-engineered aluminum components.

• Formwork Reusability: Implementing cleaning and maintenance protocols after every cycle (removing residue, applying release agents) to extend the lifespan of panels for 1,000+ uses.

• On-site Logistics: Coordinating the delivery and movement of formwork accessories like wall ties, pins, and wedges to prevent idle time.

4. Safety & Compliance:

• Site Safety Protocols: Enforcing strict safety measures for high-rise environments, including the use of PPE and proper load distribution for formwork supports.

• Personnel Training: Organizing training for laborers on assembly, striking (disassembling), and handling techniques to prevent injuries and equipment damage.

• Regulatory Adherence: Ensuring all construction activities comply with local building codes and national safety standards (e.g., OSHA).

5. Financial & Stakeholder Management:

• Budgeting & Cost Control: Tracking expenses meticulously to offset high initial formwork costs through labor and time savings.

• Stakeholder Communication: Acting as the primary liaison between clients, consultants, and on-site teams to report progress and resolve conflicts.
