Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end publishing projects from project initiation to final delivery.
• Coordinate directly with clients/publishers to understand project requirements, specifications, timelines, and deliverables.
• Handle projects related to books, journals, academic and scholarly publications.
• Coordinate with internal teams including Editorial, Copy Editing, Proofreading, Typesetting/Composition, XML, and Quality Control.
• Prepare project schedules, trackers, and status reports.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the client and internal production teams.
• Handle client queries, feedback, revisions, and change requests.
• Identify project risks, delays, and bottlenecks and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Provide regular project updates to clients and management.
• Ensure adherence to client specifications, quality requirements, and SLAs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure smooth workflow throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in Publishing / Content Production / Project Coordination / Project Management.
• Strong understanding of Book and Journal Publishing workflows.
• Experience in Academic / Scholarly / STM Publishing is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Editorial, Copy Editing, Proofreading, Typesetting/Composition and XML workflows.
• Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong coordination, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and project tracking tools.
