Qualification: B.E./B.Tech Metallurgy, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Role Purpose

Lead end-to-end Steel Melting Plant project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Own SMP scope, budget and schedule.
• Manage engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate EAF, LF, DRI/scrap handling and auxiliary systems.
• Manage dedusting, slag handling and material handling systems.
• Coordinate caster and downstream interfaces.
• Manage technology suppliers and EPC contractors.
• Monitor procurement and equipment delivery.
• Lead construction and commissioning.
• Develop commissioning and ramp-up plans.
• Drive production, quality and energy performance.
• Ensure project HSE and statutory compliance.

The ideal candidates should have:

• 15-25 years of total professional experience.
• Strong experience in steel, metals, heavy engineering, EPC or large industrial projects.
• Experience in greenfield/brownfield projects will be preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing large multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong EPC contractor and technology supplier management experience.
• Experience in commissioning and plant ramp-up is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of industrial HSE requirements.
• Willingness to work from Mumbai/Navi Mumbai and travel to project sites as required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects within schedule, budget and quality requirements.
