Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements, technical specifications, and project scope for defence projects.
• Prepare project plans, schedules, progress reports, and engineering documentation.
• Coordinate project activities across design, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and commissioning teams.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
• Resolve technical and operational issues during assembly, integration, testing, and commissioning.
• Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), installation, and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and defence industry requirements.
• Maintain project documentation, reports, drawings, and technical records.
• Participate in site visits, customer meetings, and project review meetings as required.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, or mechatronics systems.
• Understanding of project execution and engineering documentation.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills

• Experience in defence, aerospace, heavy engineering, automation, or special purpose machine projects.
• Exposure to FAT, SAT, commissioning, and site execution activities.
• Familiarity with project planning and scheduling tools.
