Project Engineer - Civil

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and execute civil construction activities for STP/ETP projects as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate day-to-day site activities with the Project Manager, Planning Engineer, QA/QC team and subcontractors.
• Execute and monitor:
• RCC tanks
• Equalization tanks
• Aeration tanks
• Clarifier tanks
• Filter tanks
• Sludge handling structures
• Pump rooms
• Equipment foundations
• Chemical rooms
• Buildings and other associated civil structures
• Check reinforcement, shuttering, concreting and embedded items before and during execution.
• Ensure proper line, level, alignment and dimensions as per approved drawings.
• Read and interpret civil, structural and architectural drawings.
• Coordinate with the Mechanical team for equipment foundations, sleeves, openings, embedded plates and equipment installation requirements.
• Coordinate with Electrical and Instrumentation teams for cable trenches, foundations, sleeves and other civil requirements.
• Monitor subcontractor manpower, materials, equipment and daily productivity.
• Prepare daily progress reports and maintain site records.
• Coordinate with QA/QC engineers for inspections, checklists, WIRs and quality requirements.
• Ensure construction activities are carried out according to approved method statements and ITPs.
• Identify site issues and coordinate with the Project Manager/Engineering team for solutions.
• Monitor material consumption and ensure proper utilization of construction materials.
• Check quantities and support BOQ measurements, subcontractor measurements and billing.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and PMC representatives during site inspections.
• Ensure compliance with project safety requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning and project handover activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• 7-12 years of experience in Civil Site Execution.
• STP / ETP / WTP / CETP project experience is preferred.
• Candidates should have hands-on experience in RCC structures, tanks, foundations and wastewater-treatment plant construction.
• Experience in EPC / Turnkey projects will be an advantage.
• Experience coordinating with Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation teams is preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, BOQ and measurements.
• Experience in client/consultant/PMC coordination will be an advantage.
