Program Manager

The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for organising and conducting in-person and online GDC programs and managing all related tasks, including Administration and Accounts. A PM typically manages multiple tasks, prioritises amongst activities to meet deadlines, makes independent operating decisions, and resolves operational conflicts and grievances amicably. This challenging role offers opportunities to develop multifaceted organisational skills and support career growth. The Program Manager works closely with the Senior Program Managers, Mentors, GDC instructors, and start-up teams to organize and conduct training programs. The opening is based in GDCs office at IIT Madras campus in Chennai.

Role & responsibilities

• Organizing and administering GDC programs (in-person and online)
• Compering online meetings/webinars as a host on electronic platforms e.g., Zoom and Teams.
• Communicating with instructors, mentors, and team members to run programs on schedule.
• Organising data, documents, correspondence, contracts, MIS, and archiving of course material and metadata during and after programs
• Organising and managing programs/events of GDC Managing the Accounts and Office Administration of GDC

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification and Experience

• Graduate in any subject with 5 years. Postgraduate will be preferred
• Three+ years of experience in a college, corporate, or training organisation in managing/coordinating programs
• High fluency in written and spoken English. Working knowledge of Tamil and Hindi.
• Proficient in MS Office suite, Email, and social media; willing and able to learn software tools such as database programs, video-making/editing software, and other online software tools.
• Ability to create and manage program schedules, organise and distribute training materials, maintain databases, manage communication, contract management, and administer surveys
• Proficient in managing online webinars/conferences on any platform (e.g. Zoom, Teams)
• Comfortable in working in small, close-knit teams and under tight deadlines.
• Comfortable approaching and interacting with senior academics and professionals and students.
