Production Supervisor

Role Summary

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production operations within the organization. This role involves leading a team to ensure efficient production processes while maintaining quality standards and adhering to safety protocols. The Production Supervisor plays a key role in optimizing production workflows, managing resources, and contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the manufacturing facility. The role requires minimal travel for business purposes.

Job Responsibilities

• Production Oversight:
• Coordinate and supervise daily production activities to meet production targets as per plan.
• Ensure optimal utilization of equipment and workforce.
• Implement strategies for improving production efficiency and reducing waste.
• Team Management:
• Assign tasks to production operators and provide guidance to achieve production goals.
• Ensure team members adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Support staff training and skill development.
• Quality Control:
• Enforce quality control standards and oversee inspections to maintain product consistency.
• Monitor production processes, equipment, and workflows to ensure adherence to quality standards while maintaining hygiene on the floor.
• Work closely with the QA team to address any product quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain proper documentation of quality checks and production logs.
• Production Entry & Reporting:
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of production data into the system.
• Safety Compliance:
• Promote and enforce a safe work environment by maintaining safety norms and compliance with health and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular safety audits, identifying and addressing potential hazards in the production area.
• Resource Management:
• Coordinate with the Procurement and Store team to ensure availability of raw materials and resources required for uninterrupted production.
• Monitor the usage of materials and supplies, aiming to reduce waste and optimize resource allocation.
• Track and manage equipment maintenance schedules, coordinating with the Maintenance team to prevent downtime.
• MIS Management
• Develop, maintain, and analyse relevant reports to ensure accurate and timely reporting, supporting data-driven decision-making across the department.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification and Experience

• Diploma/Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
