Job Description Senior Chemist, Production


Job Purpose


Key Responsibilities

1. Production Operations

• Execute manufacturing activities as per approved BMR/BPR, SOPs, and manufacturing procedures .
• Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment and processes as per defined parameters.
• Ensure proper charging of raw materials, solvents, intermediates, and other materials.
• Monitor critical process parameters and report abnormalities immediately.
• Ensure production activities are completed within the planned schedule.

2. Batch Manufacturing

• Follow approved batch manufacturing procedures and process instructions.
• Perform manufacturing operations such as charging, reaction, filtration, centrifugation, drying, milling, blending, or other applicable processes.
• Record process parameters and observations accurately in batch records.
• Ensure proper identification and status labeling of materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for sampling, testing, and batch-related activities.

3. GMP Compliance

• Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, safety procedures, and good documentation practices .
• Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S in the production area.
• Follow gowning, hygiene, contamination-control, and material-handling procedures.
• Immediately report deviations, incidents, spills, equipment abnormalities, and GMP concerns.
