Role Overview

Reliance Industries Limited is seeking a highly motivated and versatile engineering professional for a [3 Years] Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) within our rapidly scaling New Energy Battery Business. Based out of our world-scale manufacturing facility at Jamnagar, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day operations bridging advanced automated manufacturing, quality testing, and predictive maintenance.

• Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract (FTE / FTC)
• Location: Jamnagar, Gujarat

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Process Execution

• Operate automated machinery across the cell manufacturing or pack assembly lines safely and efficiently.
• Monitor production parameters (slurry coating, cell winding, electrolyte filling, formation, or aging) to minimize bottlenecks.
• Coordinate shop floor trials for process optimization and engineering changes under direction from the Technology team.

2. Quality Assurance & Testing

• Conduct process inspections and verify product specifications at designated quality gates.
• Perform teardown analysis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on field-returned batteries or defective line pieces.
• Manage compliance documentation including APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, and User Requirement Specifications (URS).

3. Equipment & Mechanical Maintenance

• Execute preventive maintenance plans to keep highly automated gigafactory equipment running at peak availability.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults rapidly to minimize line downtime.
• Calibrate testing instruments and log spare parts consumption inside the plant inventory system.

Skills and Qualifications Required Education & Experience:

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Mechtronics, or B.sc in Physics, Chemistry or Mathematics
• 1-5 years of industry experience
