Production Planning Manager

Role Summary:

Overseeing and optimizing the entire production process, ensuring high-quality output, safety, and on-time delivery. This role focuses on continuous improvement, resource management, and cross-functional coordination to meet production targets while maintaining cost efficiency.

Role & responsibilities

Enforce safety rules and protocols on the production floor to ensure a safe working environment.

Ensure zero defects on customer products through strict quality controls and process improvements.

Drive process improvement initiatives to prevent damage during the packing stage.

Monitor and analyse daily Overall Line Efficiency (OLE) with actionable plans for improvement.

Oversee the packaging of finished goods (FG), ensuring the right stock is maintained by model and customer.

Ensure timely availability of raw and packaging materials as per the production and delivery plan.

Coordinate the transfer of FG stock to PPC and logistics departments for further processing and shipment.

Monitor and manage cost-related parameters, including manpower, consumable materials, and power usage, to optimize expenses.

Ensure cost efficiency across production operations while maintaining quality standards.

Ensure all material deliveries are aligned with production schedules and quality requirements.

Ensure smooth flow of materials from suppliers and vendors to the production line as per the delivery plan.

Foster effective communication within the production team and ensure team involvement in decision-making.

Ensure proper training and development, including providing Kaizen awareness to contract employees and leading daily operational meetings.

Lead Kaizen initiatives to drive continuous improvement in production processes.

Ensure adherence to 5S principles and maintain organized, clean, and efficient workspaces on the floor.

Monitor and report on production progress, comparing planned versus actual outputs.

Resolve issues and concerns related to production, packaging, and material flow during daily operational reviews.

Attend daily meetings (DWM) to address and resolve concerns in production operations.

Take ownership of production performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions.
