Production Planning And Control Manager

Role & responsibilities

Digital Transformation & Smart Planning: Drive Industry 4.0 adoption in PPC by utilizing AI/ML-driven scheduling models, Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) platforms, and Level 2/3 tracking systems to automate rolling sequence design and reduce campaign changeover losses.

Production Scheduling & Campaign Planning: Execute and optimize short-term and long-term production schedules for the Hot Strip Mill to maximize throughput, tonnage, and mill utilization.

Slab Yard Digitization & Thermal Efficiency: Interface directly with the Steel Melting Shop (SMS) through real-time slab tracking to maximize hot/warm slab charging, minimize cold slab inventory, and cut energy loss.

Order Promising & Fulfillment (OTIF): Leverage integrated ERP/MES systems to enhance Order Tracking, shorten lead times, and guarantee On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery across diversified customer segments.

Mill Optimization & Yield Maximization: Utilize operational analytics to minimize transition coils, rolling delays, and non-prime production via optimized grade/size sequencing.

Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate across SMS, HSM operations, QA, and Logistics using centralized digital dashboards to identify and resolve value-chain bottlenecks.
