About the Role

We are looking for a Production Officer to manage and monitor production activities in an aroma/specialty chemical manufacturing plant. The role involves production planning, batch process operations, manpower handling, documentation, quality coordination and ensuring safe and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute daily/shift-wise production plans.
• Monitor batch scheduling, reactor charging/loading and unloading.
• Ensure availability of raw materials and packing materials in coordination with the stores team.
• Supervise chemical process operations including reaction, distillation, filtration, drying and extraction.
• Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, pH and reaction time as per SOPs and BMR.
• Complete BMR and other production-related documentation accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with QC/QA for in-process sampling, testing and quality-related issues.
• Support investigation of off-spec batches, rework and disposal activities.
• Ensure compliance with SOP, GMP, ISO, MSDS and SHE/EHS requirements.
• Supervise operators/helpers and allocate manpower during shifts.
• Prepare shift handover reports and daily production reports.
• Conduct routine checks of reactors, pumps, distillation columns and other equipment.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team during equipment breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor raw material consumption, production yield and wastage.
• Support process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Maintain production, yield, waste and effluent-related records.
• Ensure safe handling of chemicals and compliance with plant safety procedures.
