The candidate will coordinate with designers, vendors, manufacturers, quality-control teams, and internal departments to ensure that all products are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities- Plan, schedule, and monitor the complete production cycle for garments and fashion products.- Coordinate with designers, pattern makers, merchandisers, vendors, and manufacturers.- Convert approved designs and tech packs into production-ready garments.- Prepare production timelines, Time and Action calendars, and delivery schedules.- Source fabrics, trims, accessories, packaging materials, and other production requirements.- Coordinate with factories, job workers, suppliers, and production vendors.- Negotiate costing, production timelines, minimum order quantities, and commercial terms.- Monitor sampling, fit approvals, size sets, pre-production samples, and bulk production.- Ensure that garments meet approved specifications, measurements, fitting, finishing, and quality standards.- Resolve production delays, quality issues, and operational bottlenecks.- Monitor production costs, wastage, material consumption, and overall efficiency.- Supervise production staff and coordinate with quality-control teams.- Maintain records of purchase orders, production status, inventory, vendor details, and delivery reports.- Coordinate with merchandising, design, sales, finance, and logistics teams.- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of finished products.- Prepare regular production reports for senior management.Required Qualifications and Skills- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Fashion Designing, Apparel Production, Textile Technology, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.- 5–8 years of relevant experience in fashion or garment production.- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, stitching, finishing, and production processes.- Experience in vendor management, sourcing, costing, and negotiations.- Good understanding of sampling, fit approvals, quality control, and bulk production.- Strong planning, coordination, communication, and problem-solving abilities.- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and production-tracking tools.- Strong leadership and team-management skills.- Willingness to travel to factories, vendors, and production units when required.Key Performance Indicators- On-time completion of production orders.- Product quality and reduction in rejection rates.- Accurate cost control and reduced production wastage.- Efficient vendor performance.- Timely sample approvals and bulk production.- Successful delivery within approved timelines and budgets.SourcesSourced from naukri
