Production Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Directly handling production function such as plan Vs actual - on daily basis.

2. Productivity monitoring, daily review of previous day shop performance and CA.

3. Addressing and bridging the gaps (if any) during NPD, robust system for ensuring minimum stock of tool, insert, holder jaws and replenishment for regular production.

4. Ensure machine availability minimum 90%, maintenance knowledge and maintenance data management, work environment & safety.

5. Training skill for work force. Maintain work discipline /sop on shop floor, absenteeism.

6. Should have worked in unit having different type of machines like Tuning, Turn-Mill, VMC, VTL, HMC, 4 & 5 axis machines etc. Having good exposure to sectors like Oil & Gas, Aerospace etc.

7. To lead team of manufacturing engineers effectively, adapting advanced tooling, holding device, familiar with machine controls and software programs (CAM), exposed to behavior of cutters/ inserts on material like alloy steel, SS, titanium, Inconel, fixture knowledge, arrive to competitive machining cost with consistent quality.

Manpower management: application of HR principles and PR policies as and when required. Leading SGA, TPM, Kaizen, 5S teams effectively. Should have very good inter-personal skills and ability to identify potential skills and ability to train personal. He should have handled minimum team sizes of 20-30 people.

Hands on experience machining time calculation & quotation, OEE calculation & improve upon machine -uptime and operator efficiency, spare capacity calculation,

Preferred: Good knowledge to work on PC. Conversant with machine controls, software programs and exposure in handling aerospace components. Feasibility study with risk management for NPD items. Focus on first pass yield (FPY), productivity &OTD

Conversant with process documents, target oriented .
