Production Manager

The Production Manager oversees production operations to ensure timely delivery of quality products while meeting safety, quality, and cost targets. The role includes production planning, resource optimization, process improvement, compliance, team management, and coordination with cross-functional teams to maximize productivity, minimize downtime, and drive continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor production, manpower, machine utilization, and dispatch as per production targets.
• Ensure smooth equipment operation, process control, and adherence to SOPs/Work Instructions.
• Monitor production KPIs and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Ensure product quality, process efficiency, and timely corrective actions.
• Implement and sustain EHS, 5S, KAIZEN, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Dispatch teams.
• Manage raw materials, chemicals, packaging materials, and finished goods stock.
• Ensure statutory, regulatory, calibration, fire safety, and ISO compliance.

Skills & Competencies

• BE/B.Tech in Ceramic or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in Refractory Production.
• Strong knowledge of refractory production processes and plant operations.
• Basic knowledge of PLC & SCADA.
• Knowledge of 5S, KAIZEN, Lean Manufacturing, and KPI management.
• Understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 & 50001.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and incident investigation skills.
• Good leadership, manpower management, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
